Google Nexus 7 – How Good Is It?

Jul 06, 2012 No Comments by

At Google I/O 2012, Google rolled out the specifications of its latest gadget, Nexus 7 tablet. It is Google’s fist own-brand tablet manufactured by Asus. A new version of the Android OS ‘Android 4.1 Jelly Bean’ has been used in this gadget.

The new tablet contains everything that you can expect from a high-end gadget. It has a high definition touch-screen, a swift processor, and a high quality graphics card that enables the screen to perform well in bright sunlight too. It is lightweight, comfortable to hold, and can be fit into small bags.

The device has a price tag of $199 that seems less than its expensive look and technology-jammed hardware specifications. Especially, if you compare the price with that of Apple’s latest iPad worth of $499, you will be convinced that Google is selling the device less than its production cost.

Specialists assume that Google has come out with this cheap price in order to compete with Amazon’s inexpensive but not very functional tablet device – the Kindle Fire.
