Nexus 7 Tablet Device – Unveiled by Google and Asus

Google has recently unveiled a new tablet device called Nexus 7, a joint venture of Google and Asus. It is the first one in the line of Google’s Nexus devices. Latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS has been used in this tablet.

The world’s first 7” quad-core tablet device has come in a slim and portable package. According to the company’s declaration, the device will be available in the Play store of Google.

Both Asus and Google have said in high tone about each other’s contribution in this venture. Jonney Shih, Asus chairman, especially praised the engineers of the companies who manufactured the high tech device in a record time. On the other hand, Andy Robin, Google’s senior vice president of the department of mobile and digital content praised Asus for making this product within just four months.

He also said about their success in producing a tablet device that would be cheap and light, so that users can easily afford and take the device wherever they go.

The 8GB version is available for $199 while the 16GB will cost $249.
