Jennifer Ann “Jenny” McCarthy has become the center of attention for making out in the open at Times Square with a hot cop standing nearby. News about her kiss on the New Year’s Eve spread like wildfire on almost all media websites and is one of the top searched items today.

Everyone knows about the famous Times Square tradition of entering the New Year by kissing a loved one or significant other or perhaps someone with whom sparks had flown throughout the night. Apparently, former Playboy model Jenny McCarthy kissed the hot cop following the latter part of this tradition. The cop rated her kiss ten on ten and was quite surprised to have gotten an opportunity to kiss her. People who had gathered in huge numbers were also surprised to see McCarthy lip-locked with a cop.

Jenny McCarthy was appearing live on ABC’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve”. When she was asked to give an explanation about the kiss, she said, “I just happened to be standing with that hot cop… nice to meet you!”

McCarthy was one of several celebrities who were covering the New Year’s Eve for the 40th installment of the ABC special. McCarthy, who famously split with actor Jim Carrey in 2010, had told OnTheRedCarpet.com, “Well, I am single. Wink, wink. We’ll be there five hours this year so who knows? I might pull out of the crowd and find a cute guy to kiss. I don’t know. We’ll see.”

McCarthy was co-hosting the show for the second time, joining original host Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest in New York. Fergie was hosting from Los Angeles. The episode was a huge success, especially after Jenny added the charm of her kiss. There were exciting performances by Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, LMFAO, Florence + The Machine, Nicki Minaj, Blink-182 and Pitbull.

McCarthy was really anxious to be a part of this show. She said, “When I was dating Jim, we stayed on the couch every New Year’s Eve, watched ABC. I remember going, ‘Those people are freezing.
