Last night, the ex-Current TV anchor appeared on Letterman and addressed the whole Current TV firing/legal debacle, doing something that hardly anyone in the limelight does these days…he admitted fault!

In the most vague, circumventing way ever…but still! It’s something.

He did create a metaphor in which he is a $10 million dollar chandelier and Current TV is a dilapidated housing unit, so um, he is still deceptively making a jab at the network.

We’ve been avidly following this back and forth between Al Gore’s network and this bigger than life newsie personality, and everything indicated that Olbermann was an ego-maniac who would never admit defeat.

We were…wrong?
