Other than a flashing a smile at photographers while leaving a family dinner at Mr. Chow in L.A. last week, Kim Richards hadn’t ventured out into the spotlight since quietly leaving rehab in early January. But on Saturday, January 14, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star showed up at the Wella Beauty Bar at Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood looking happy, healthy, and radiant.

While other celebs including Jessica Szhor and Cheryl Burke indulged in nail treatments and sunless tanning by Fake Bake, Kim shied away from the pampering. “She came to see a few old pals who were there,” a friend of Kim’s exclusively tells Wetpaint Entertainment. “She drove over by herself but met up with people she knew as soon as she arrived.”

“She looked great,” the friend continues. “She seemed very healthy. She even played around a little bit, trying on sunglasses and posing for photos. She really seems like a different person than who she was a few months ago.”

“I think she’s taking things very seriously. She knows she needed to change and she’s telling everyone she’s committed to it. She doesn’t want to lose what she’s worked so hard for in the past month. And I don’t think Ken [Blumenfeld] is still in the picture. I think that’s done, which has everyone relieved.”
