Kyla Pratt Talks Pregnant Story & Gives Beyoncé Baby Advice
When actress Kyla Pratt was pregnant, she chose to keep the news a secret and didn’t reveal the news publicy. Recently, she gave her reasons for doing so, as well as some Beyoncé baby advice!
Pratt, a recent guest star on BET’s “Let’s Stay Together,” spoke about her pregnancy cover-up. Apparently, she chose to not go public after she saw the negativity that Lauren London received when she was pregnant with Lil Wayne’s baby. After Pratt appeared on BET’s show “106 & Park” a few months ago and revealed she had a baby daughter, the gossip started up about who got her pregnant.
Apparently, there were rumors circulating that the baby daddy was a male stripper. This prompted Kyla to go on the defensive, writing a letter to criticize the haters. Pratt recently told Vibe Vixen in her interview:
I never announced being pregnant because I watched people in the industry have a baby, like Jennifer Freeman and Lauren London. People don’t know the actual story or know what’s really going on, and they are so negative and hurtful.
I didn’t want to go through that with my pregnancy. The baby can feel what you’re feeling, so I was like I’m going to enjoy my pregnancy without having people have something to say.
Quite honestly, she doesn’t have to tell anyone the news if she chooses not to. Celebrities deserve some degree of privacy, and it seems Pratt felt this was the best move for her own peace of mind while pregnant. Meanwhile, she was asked about if she has any Beyonce baby advice. Pratt told VV:
Girl! Lord ‘a mercy [laughs]! The only thing I would say is love that baby to the fullest, and I am sure she’ll do that.
That’s an interesting response, because when it comes down to it, Beyoncé is married to Jay-Z. Kyla Pratt was not married when she gave birth to her daughter. She said that she and the baby daddy don’t have plans to marry any time soon. When it comes down to it, Beyoncé probably doesn’t need a whole lot of advice, as she has the money and connections to provide for her baby.
As for Pratt, she has her share of popularity, too, as the actress became a trending topic on Twitter Tuesday night, thanks to her guest role on “Let’s Stay Together.” Maybe this will lead to a recurring role for the new mother? (celebs.gather.com)
