The Octomom, Nadya Denise Doud-Suleman, has encountered a new problem while she has already been struggling to cope up with several others. The media’s favorite mother, who had come under the limelight by giving birth to octuplets in January 2009, has been accused of neglecting her children.

Inquisitors from the La Habra Police Department and the Orange County Dept. of Family and Children’s Services turned up at her residence on Tuesday after having a plaint from her hairdresser. Her hairdresser complained to the police that the Octomom was raising her kids in a horrible condition. She also leaked some photos to TMZ.com as proofs.

According to a report on TMZ.com, the hairstylist complained the police about the unhealthy condition of the house and the indifference of Octomom to her kids. The kids were reportedly having cruel treatment from their mother as she was accused of locking some of them in a room. In addition, the hairdresser described the children as malnourished and filthy.

However, the authorities did not find any possible danger for the kids during their one-hour-and-a-half stay at the house. Though they did not take the kids into their custody, the Children’s Service decided to keep an eye on the situation.

Nadya Suleman has brushed away all these accusations and started fighting against media’s negative depiction of her. According to a report in ABC News, the alleged mother has claimed the incident as ‘set up’. Regarding the photos leaked in the celebrity tabloid website TMZ.com, she said, “I think maybe me and my kids were set up.” She explained the picture showing her kids’ locking in the room by jamming a chair under the doorknob as done by one of her older kids who had placed the chair there.

She was very much criticized for undergoing fertility treatment to have more children while she was unemployed and living on public assistance. People also showed scornful criticisms for her tendency to keep her children and herself under the public eye by creating some media stunts. She is now determined to improve her public image of an unfit mother, which has further been stinted by this leaked photo incident. She says that she hates this ‘Octomom’ image and wants to tear it apart anyhow.

After her separation from her husband, which was due to failed attempts to have children, Suleman, out of desperation, decided to went through in-vitro fertilization process. She conceived all of her 14 kids via in-vitro fertilization. The octuplets of Nadya Suleman is only the second set of Octuplets to be born alive in the USA.
