‘Rolling Stone’ magazine published an article this week claiming that Aaron Hernandez, the former tight end of New England Patriot, used to take a drug called PCP (phencyclidine). That drug is popularly known as ‘wet’ or ‘Angel Dust’.
Hernandez is indicted and is on trial now for the allegation of murdering one of his friends. The article published on ’Rolling Stone’ suggested that that NFL star might have committed the murder because of the influence of Angel Dust. It said that Hernandez was a heavy user of the drug. He became paranoid because of the drug’s effect and used to carry firearm with him wherever he went.
The article in the magazine did not directly make any connection between Hernandez’s drug addiction and his involvement in the murder. However, considering the history of gruesome and violent crimes to which PCP has been linked with, the possibility cannot be ignored either.
