The officials of NFL and Superdome confirmed on Monday morning that the 33-miinute power outage during the Super Bowl on Sunday was not caused by the high-powered halftime performance of Beyonce.

The incident happened during the third quarter of the event. However, the Superdome’s manager, Doug Thornton, said that ‘generated power’ was used in running Beyonce’s show while the main power of the stadium was ‘metered down’ at that time due to the turning off of house lights.

The local electric company Entergy said earlier that the accident happened due to the problem in one of the two feeder lines. These lines were used to power the stadium from an outer substation. The power in the west half of the stadium was automatically shut off after a malfunction was detected in the system.

The power outage happened at 7:37 p.m. and half of the stadium became dark. The play was started again at 8:30 p.m.
