The alternative rock band ‘My Chemical Romance’ (MCR) officially announced its breakup on Friday night. The news was posted on the band’s official website.
The statement on the ‘mychemicalromance.com’ said that the band members had truly enjoyed their journey throughout the past 12 years. They said that they experienced so many things these years that they had thought would never be possible. According to them, they had to put an end to this journey because all great things have to face their end. They thanked those people with whom they had shared stages and the fans for giving their unconditional supports.
Gerard Way, the front man of MCR, founded the band in 2001. Over the past 12 years, the band had released four studio albums. ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’ was their latest album that was released in 2010.
The band continued to be active until mid-2012.
