First impressions of Toshiba’s 84-inch 4K/Ultra HD TV
In the past years, the CESs have been celebrated as the year of the ultrabook, year of 3D, and year of tablet. This year, it seems that the show in Las Vegas will be treated as the year of ultra-big, ultra-HD televisions.
At different private briefings, Toshiba displayed its mega-TV. The flagship 84-inch model led the L9300 series’ Ultra HD 4K televisions. 65- and 58-inch models are also there in the works. According to Mashable, this latest Ultra HD edition can take standard 1080p content and after that, improve it to 4K resolution.
These TVs are also linked to the new Cloud television platform of Toshiba, which is equipped with a number of smart features such as news streams, messaging, and Skype calling.
These Ultra HD TVs are supposed to hit the market during summer time but Toshiba has not said anything about their price. However, consumers should be prepared to hear a sky-high price.
