Kate Winslet, the Academy Awards winning British actress, tied the knot for the third time. Earlier this month in New York, she wedded Ned Rocknroll.

On Thursday, her representatives said that the marriage was held in a private ceremony. A few friends and members of family along with Winslet’s two children attended the ceremony.

It was the third marriage for the actress. Both of her first two husbands were film directors. Jim Threapleton was her first husband and Sam Mendes was the second. Her third husband Rocknroll is the nephew of Richard Branson, the billionaire founder of Virgin Group. Rocknroll is 34 years old. Since last summer, Winslet and Rocknroll have been engaged to each other.

Branson has a house in the Caribbean. During a tropical storm in August 2011, the house caught fire. At that time, Winslet along with her children was staying at that house. She saved the life of Branson’s 90-year-old mother. The house was burned down though no one was injured.
