Keira Knightley, Oscar-nominated actress, and James Righton, the keyboardist of a rock group, tied the knot on Saturday in a small wedding ceremony.
According to Aime Navello, a French mayor, the actress said ‘oui’ to her would-be husband in the wedding ceremony in southern France. The ceremony was carried out at the Mazan town hall. The couple followed French tradition in their wedding.
According to Navello, nearly 10 persons were present at the ceremony. He read the service in French and they responded in both English and French.
Righton is a member of a rock band named Klaxons. He plays keyboard in the group. The couple got engaged almost a year ago.
Knightley first grabbed the attention by acting in the movie ‘Bend It Like Beckham’. She played the role of a soccer-playing youngster there.
She was in the leading female role in the first three movies of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise. She got an Oscar nomination for depicting the role of Elizabeth Bennet in the movie ‘Pride and Prejudice’.
