Barack Obama’s decision of giving the chance to young illegal immigrants, who have been living in the USA since their infancy, becoming legal citizens has been materialized on August 15. This decision has further solidified Obama’s position and enhanced his acceptance than his rival Mitt Romney among the Latino voters.

From Wednesday, August 15, the Citizenship and Immigration Services of USA has started to accept applications from the children of undocumented immigrants. The action has been implemented as a part of President Obama’s DREAM Act, which he initiated for avoiding deportation of those illegal people.

According to the Obama administration, approximately 1.8 million young people are eligible for this program. The immigrants who are in removal procedures will also be considered under this Act.

This Act will consider those people who had arrived in USA before their 16th birthday and are within 30 years of age. The candidates also require to be living in the country for at least five years.
