Paris Jackson, daughter of late pop superstar Michael Jackson, was rushed to a hospital on Wednesday. She tried to commit suicide by cutting one of her wrists.
A source close to Paris’ family said that she had called a suicide-counseling hot line before making that attempt. The counselor called the police and said them to go to the Calabasas home of the Jackson.
According to attorney Perry Sander, losing a person close to your life is very difficult to handle, especially for a sensitive 15-year-old girl like Paris. She lost her father, who was very loving and close to her, in 2011.
Jackson had always guarded his three children Prince, Paris, and Blanket from public eyes. However, since his death, their lives have become more public. As a result, Paris, an aspiring actress, has to undergo many ups and downs in few years.
In TV interviews, Paris pictured her father as a loving Dad who gently disciplined his children if they did something bad. In a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey, she told that her father used to talk with them about his youth and his time with the ‘Jackson 5’. She also revealed to Winfrey that she was victim of bullying. She admitted to have a rather unusual life, especially having been escorted by security in the mall. However, she said that her father tried to give them a normal childhood.
Debbie Rowe is the biological mother of Prince and Paris. Rowe and Jackson divorced in 1999. According to court documents, she received a settlement worth of $8.5 million and gave full custody of the children to Jackson.
Paris and Prince are probable witnesses in Michael Jackson’s lethal drug overeat in 2009. On Wednesday, Kevin Boyle, the Jackson trial lawyer, said that Paris was asked about close details of her father and his death, which are very difficult for a teenager to deal with.
