On Monday morning, a fire accident occurred on the deck of a cruise ship named Royal Caribbean. The cruise was going to Bahamas. No injury or power loss was reported.
During the journey, the Sea Cruise was carrying 2,224 guests and 796 crew members. Bahamas’ CooCay was its first destination.
According to the Royal Caribbean authority, the cruise was sent to Freeport to fix the damages caused by the fire incident. Guests were sleeping while the fire caught at around 2:50 a.m. However, they were awakened, instructed to put on their lifejacket, and gather on the deck, though they had no idea what was happening.
One of the guests Danielle Miller said that they ran faster to the deck while some were freaking out and crying. According to Cynthia Martinez, the spokeswoman for the Royal Caribbean, they did not get further details regarding the medical reports though the ship assured them that there was no medical crisis onboard.
The cruise left Baltimore on 24 May for seven-night trip.
