Academy award winner Sandra Bullock rocked at Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards show by winning four awards including best actress. Almost 700 million votes have been casted to pick up the winners of the night and Bullock was certainly the most shining star of the show.
She has also won the award for best duo with George Clooney, her co-star in the movie ‘Gravity’. She thanked her son along with her co-stars and other crew of the movie. She even cracked a joke about presenter Sean Hayes, who jokingly called her his wife while announcing the award.
Awards for both favorite movie and favorite action movie went to ‘Iron Man 3’ while ‘The Big Bang Theory’ won favorite network TV comedy show award.
Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, the famous actresses from the sitcom ‘Two Broke Girls’, were the hosts of the show. Among the other hotshots of the night was Justin Timberlake, Ellen DeGeneres, and Britney Spears.
Timberlake won three awards for favorite male artist, favorite R&B artist, and favorite album for his super hit album ‘The 20/20 Experience’. DeGeneres won the award for favorite daytime TV host. It was her 14th award that has made her the female star with the most number of trophies.
Spears finally got hold of her first People’s Choice Award by winning for favorite pop artist. In recognition of her humanitarian work with the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, founded by her along with her sister in 2009, Jennifer Hudson won the People’s Choice Award for favorite humanitarian. This foundation, founded in memory of her late nephew Julian King, works for the children of all backgrounds and provide them with positive experience.
Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, the co-stars of ‘Vampires Diaries’, won the award for favorite on-screen chemistry. Interestingly, these two were ex-couple in real life too.
