Real face of Richard III revealed by PressAssociation

After discovering the skeleton of Richard III, the scientists took quick steps to reconstruct his face. Fast Company reported that a 3D model of the late king was revealed today.

A Richard III Society member Philippa Langley, who also played a big role in discovering the skeleton, said that the reconstructed face did not look like a tyrant as the historians have depicted him. The reconstruction of the face was somewhat necessary as all the available portraits of the king were drawn after the death of him. However, a BBC report said that the reconstruction resembled to the existing portraits.

However, some scientists are still not convinced of the skeleton discovered under a parking lot is really of Richard III. Many of them wanted a deeper analysis while one called the DNA analysis ‘weak’. One scientist told the New Scientist that the mitochondrial DNA test could not be the sole base of establishing its identity.
