Spanish Police Seize Ship Carrying 3 Tonnes of Cocaine
Spanish police captured a merchant ship trafficking nearly three tones of cocaine. The drug trafficking incident occurred in the southern part of Spain. Police also released a video of this foiled drug trafficking operation.
According to the information found from Spanish police, the ship, trying to transport illegal drugs, was just off the Spanish coast. The police intercepted the ship fifty miles off the port of Cadiz. The video of this capture, caught by the Spanish coastguard, was made public on Wednesday.
Total 31 people were arrested in that incident. Some Bulgarians were involved in it, whose function was to pick up drugs in South America. Some Colombians were also among those people and they were accused of operating this smuggling from Madrid. A group of Spaniards also co-operated in this operation by planning the distribution of these drugs all over the Europe. The police also arrested all the 21 crews of the ship.
